Your domain

Domains we register for clients belong to the client's business. If you stop using our service, we transfer the domain to you.

Fees

Each package has a one-off set-up fee and a monthly fee.
The monthly fee covers hosting and domain renewal. Business email is charged per mailbox.
Your exact price is confirmed in writing before any work you pay for begins.

Deposits and refunds

You can book a website package online with a deposit (Starter £30, Business £60, Plus £100).
We then build your preview. You pay the rest of the set-up fee only after you approve it.
If you decide not to go ahead after seeing your preview, we refund your deposit in full.
Services such as social media management, design and branding are quoted first. Nothing is charged for quote requests.
Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Client agreement

Every client receives a written agreement covering the work, payment, changes and cancellation before their site goes live.

Privacy notice

When you send an enquiry or place an order, we collect your name, business name, email, phone number, and anything else you choose to tell us (Instagram, domain, package and message).

Why: to reply to your enquiry and prepare your free preview. We do this because you asked us to.
Who sees it: only the Makkal Business team. We store it with our database provider (Supabase, UK/EU servers). If you pay a deposit, your payment is handled by Stripe, who receive your name, email and card details to process it. We never sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Client accounts: if you have a client account, we keep your name, email and a securely scrambled password (we can never see it) so you can sign in. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email and profile picture with us; we never get your Google password.
How long: if you don't become a client, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you do, we keep what we need for as long as we work together and as the law requires.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time. Message @makkalbusiness on Instagram.
Concerns: you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
